Starting out in music wasnt easy for us twins as we first came into the scene knowing exactly who we were and the type of music we wanted to create. Facing a few challenges and struggles along the way including identity crises and constanty being told our names Chidi and Chinwe were too  'African' and no one would pronounce them on UK radio etc.. plus we HAD to release RnB music becuase of our looks.. we had to draw strength from each other and defy all the odds- calling ourselves 'Two Chis',  self releasing our self penned pop dance songs and eventually branching out into afrobeats where we created some ammazing pop/dance fusions while staying true to oursleves and our African roots. We got top ten hits in various club dance charts, international DJ support and incredible love from our music fans who loved our eccelectic style of music which also helped to bridge cultural gaps and break down cultural barriers and perceptions of Africa. Our music is a heavy mix of pop, dance and afrobeat fusions that are designed to get you on the dancefloor instantly. Our albuns 'AFROCHIC' and T'reasure Within'  have taught us to believe in ourselvees, never give up on your dreams and don't be put in a box. So what if we like pop music, dance music AND afrobeats?- its who we are and its what keeps us happy. We hope you will join us in our next chapter of our journey in music as we get ready to enter a new excting phase of our creativity and staying true to ourselves always. Big thanks to Lady Colin Campbell who thanked me for my comment in her YouTube channel regarding the unfortunate recent incident that happened at the Palace in regards to race relations within the UK. I appreciate the acknowledgement and felt the need to sustain the peace within our diverse communities and shed a light on my perspective on the unfortunate situation as a whole. TOOCHI have volunteered at The Mirabel Center to support women's mental health issues and encouragement  for victims of sexual abuse and look forward to raising more awareness for the charity when they visit the center in Lagos. TOOCHI have supported women via their music promoting positive mental health attitudes or providing inspiration to fight for dreams and goals be it via their TOOBEE workshops supporting women in music and advocating for equality and diversity in work spaces within the music industry or their support for other female led business and collaboration projects with fellow 'Girl Bosses' in music, fashion, arts and creativity. Supporting women causes is an importnat part of TOOCHI's ethos and has an impact in their songwriting as a result of having to rely on eachother within the difficult male dominated industry of music at the start of their career. Navigating as females and building their experience within the music industry taught the twins the power of women supporting women created more opportunities and much desired mental health support.
