TOOCHI are in talks with the CNN African Voices programming team in regards to their TOOBEE Initiative which aims at supporting creative talent in African schools as well as supporting fresh female artistry through their workshop seminar programmess to encourage more creative talent to come forward and diversify the music industry in Africa. TOOCHI conduct their TOOBEE workshops in Europe via WeWork and zoom to support emerging artists male or female - however with more emphasis on encouraging female talent knowing the pitfalls of the music industry as women in music and creating a safe nurturing space to build confidence in aspiring female artists (producers, DJs, sound engineers etc). TOOCHI have taken their initiative one step further and launched TOOBEE workshops in African shools encouraging pupils to explore their creativity and speaking with teachers on how to incorporate this creative arts module as part of the school curriculum. GET REAL afropop track is creating a buzz in the African music scene for its eclectic fusion of African instrumentals, traditional ogene beats hailing from the Igbo tribe and a wonderful fusion of Western/ European pop/dance vibes and elements creating the ultimate afropop song to launch this 2022! " We worked closely with our producer Marcus in getting the right balance of instrumentals to introduce the listener into the eclectic world of TOOCHI and our pan African existence. We come from a vibrant African diaspora community based in Europe with strong cultural ties to the motherland and really wanted to represent and express that in this track. The lyrics are poignant too in a time where we all need some motivation to pick up from where we left off before the pandemic hit.
